You not only have the Tallest Bar but you have the teeniest Barmaid.
ReplyDeleteShe pours a great beer though and what a godsend it was . I had been driving from Cobar to Narrandera and it was 41c and my aircon did not work. Merriwagga Pub came to my rescue.

ReplyDeleteI dont think I have ever been to a pub with a more friendly atmosphere. Oh, and the food is awesome. Not just saying that for brownie points either, it is awesome! Would make it my local if it wasnt 6 hrs away from Sydney. I have told everyone I know that the Black Stump Hotel is a must on any trip out West. I hope to be back soon.

I stopped in for a drink recently and was impressed by your Hotel. It sincerely is a wonderful example of a bush hotel. The lassy whom served me was a genuine unpretentious country girl and it was a pleasurable experience. I won't forget stopping in at the Black Stump Hotel.

I called into your pub some time back and the pub was great but i met the biggest arsehole on the planet - Mr Know it all but know f all.

I won't be coming back until he is gone which by looking at him - he looks fossilised won't be long. He spoilt what should have been a wonderful experience. I am sorry your lovely hotel is his drinkng hole.

Hi Joe i am glad you are having a good time away in Brissy. The pub does have a great atmosphere if i do say so myself the pub draw is now up to $18,000 which i hope one of my local win. No rain here and plenty of grass hoppers eating the crops, my heart goes out to all the farmers. So your job is to bring back rain and push the grass hoppers away please

ReplyDeleteStayed here for over 2 weeks and loved every minute of it....staff were unbelievablely friendly and helpful and as for the locals....you could not meet a better bunch of people anywhere else in the world.....The best pub in the Southern Hemisphere is an under statement, its out of this World....
